Many challenges unique to mining and smelting are presented by the tracking and control of stockpiles. One challenge is how to schedule the movement of materials given the various constraints on storage capacity and transportation availability. Others are the effects of moisture, the potential loss of material in transit, the detection of measurement bias, and the reconciliation of metal production against sales realisation.

MINEMAN Logistics keeps track of the most complex supply chains for concentrates and metals, from the mine to the port to smelters and markets.

Features include:

  • The ability to manage multiple mines, multiple stockpiles and multiple supply chains in a single system. One installation of MINEMAN in a central location can manage a collection of sites anywhere in world

  • The ability to handle different materials in the same logistics network, namely slurries, dried concentrates and metals, in a single system

  • The automatic calculation of contained metals and impurities at all points of the supply chain

  • Rapid rebalancing of stockpiles and forward schedules

  • Automatic allowance for capacity constraints and transport constraints when rescheduling transport scenarios. This means that your forward schedules are as realistic as possible, accounting for specific schedules for trucks and trains, and limitations on their capacity and the capacity of stockpiles and bunkers

  • Integrates with the sales schedules in MINEMAN Marketing, or procurement schedules in MINEMAN Smelting, to create the best possible forecasts of mining cashflow and smelter revenue.

  • Ability to rework planned shipments in automatic mode or with user override for special cases

  • Extraordinary views of data in reports and graphs
