MINEMAN for Oxiana goes live at Golden Grove
In January this year Melbourne based MINEMAN Systems signed a contract with Oxiana Limited to implement MINEMAN Marketing for Oxiana's Australian and overseas mining operations.
The first stage of this implementation is complete, with marketing administration activities for Golden Grove now being carried out using MINEMAN.
Golden Grove is an established polymetallic mine located approximately 450 kilometres northeast of Perth in Western Australia. The mine produces copper, lead, zinc and silver/gold concentrates which are exported through the nearby Port of Geraldton to smelters in various countries including China, Japan, Korea and India.
MINEMAN Marketing manages the commercial realisation of these concentrates including sales planning through to finalisation, metal sales, risk management and strategic information for business improvement.
MINEMAN is a mission-critical software and services soluton used by the mining and metals industries for product transportation, marketing and financials.
Oxiana is a successful and growing international mining and exploration company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Oxiana owns and operates the Sepon gold and copper mines in Laos and the Golden Grove base and precious metals operation in Western Australia. The Prominent Hill copper-gold mine in South Australia is currently under construction and scheduled to begin operations later in 2008.
