Ok Tedi upgrades MINEMAN to Release 6.3
Melbourne based MINEMAN Systems has been awarded a contract to implement an upgrade of MINEMAN at Ok Tedi Mining Ltd's copper-gold mine in the Western Provence of Papua New Guinea.
MINEMAN Systems supplies mission-critical software to the global mining and metals industry. Ok Tedi is one of the world's largest copper-gold mines and is a major contributor to Papua New Guinea's gross national product.
MINEMAN was installed at Ok Tedi in 2000 and at the time was BHP's first integrated system for marketing adminstration. Ok Tedi relies on MINEMAN to manage it's marketing and sales, month end accounting and cashflow projections.
The upgrade to Release 6.3 introduces new systems to further improve business productivity and to automate complex business processes for production planning, product transportation and marketing administration.
